Chapter 11: Audiovisual Technologies

There are many different needs for audio and visual technology and many options to fill this need. One option that was popular was the record player. It was and still can be useful for the classroom for playing whatever for the audio learning experience. An up and coming resource for the audio needs is the ipad. It is very resourceful because of all the different apps that apply to the audio needs of the students. A visual aid that was very popular was the overhead projector. It was useful for showing examples for the whole class to see and other uses like morning work etc. Now, for the whole class's visual needs there is the smartboard that offers the vast projection along with countless options for the students' visual needs.

Chapter 6: Digital Technologies in the Classroom

As a teacher, I think I would like to teach with technology in the classroom. There are many benefits to do this and many opportunities. Although there are difficulties in doing so, technology isn't always reliable, i think it is still beneficial and allows the students to learn more hands on. It also gives the teacher the opportunity to expand lessons and show examples of their content in a way that is interesting for the students. Online grading and turning in assignments online is also very convenient. This gives the parents the opportunity to see the student's grades and communication between the parents, teacher and student simple. When you use technology in the classroom there are vast options for creativity and convenience.
